St Hedwig Village is a community based, not for profit, charitable organisation originally established for the German speaking elderly population of all religious denominations in New South Wales.

Our History
Established in 1987 by the two German Catholic communities of St. Raphael, Blacktown and St. Christophorus, Croydon the founders of the facilities recognised the need to provide residential care and services for an aging German population within an environment that also recognised their linguistic and cultural preferences. The Village’s philosophy and values strongly reflect the teachings of the Catholic Church, Christian charity and ethics.

Today St. Hedwig Village is committed to providing residential care not only for the German speaking elderly population but also people of all denominations and those accepting of the German culture.

Our Mission
Our mission is to dedicate ourselves to the needs of our residents; to provide a home like environment in which the residents feel respected, safe and accepted for who they are; to provide a quality of life and standard of care that is based on Christian ideals and values.
