The 16th October is the feast day of St Hedwig the saint after which our wonderful village is named. Residents & staff celebrated the day with a high tea in the morning.
There was a surprise staff performance which added colour, fun and entertainment to the day. Staff performed a variety of country western, Indian & Nepalese dances.
At the end some of the residents and family members caught up in the excitement got into the spirit and joined in by dancing to a popular Abba song.
Our catering staff prepared a special lunch menu.
The day concluded with a celebratory Mass and a play about the life of St Hedwig performed by Fr Maurer, Margaret Scicluna, Noreen Nakic and Tobi Amon.
A big thank you for everyone who was involved with the organising, participating and contributing in many different ways to a very enjoyable day.
