SECURING YOUR PLACE OR HOW TO GET STARTED?

Starting the process to move into aged care can seem daunting but our care team can help you navigate the process and answer any questions that you may have.

  1. Obtain an ACAT Assessment
    The first step is to have your current situation assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). The ACAT assessment is mandatory if you wish to access government funded services for a home care package or for a placement in an aged care home. This service is free.  To arrange for an assessment contact My Aged Care via their website mygedcare.gov.au or call 1800 200 422.
  2. Complete A Department of Human Services (DHS) Assets & Income Assessment
    The outcome of this assessment is used to determine your individual aged care fees.  We strongly encourage completing the Request for a Combined Assets and Income Assessment (SA45) as soon as you can. After your application is received by the DHS, you will receive an assessment letter.
  3. We also highly recommend seeking independent financial advice, to ensure your aged care decision is financially sound.   4. Visit our Facilities
    Visiting our aged care facilities is also important to ensure that we are able to provide you with the care services that you require. Our staff would be pleased to arrange a tour of our facilities for you and/or your family at a mutually convenient time.
